Privacy Policy
DzLMS respects its users' privacy and protects their personal data in accordance with Algerian Law No. 18-07 on the protection of individuals in the processing of personal data. This policy explains what data we collect, for what purposes, and your rights.
Data controller
The data controller is the DzLMS platform. For any question about your data, contact us at privacy@dzlms.com.
Data collected
We limit ourselves to data necessary for the educational service: first and last name, email, wilaya, school (optional), level and track for students, subject for teachers. We do not ask for date of birth. We also store assessment results, progress and, for subscriptions, payment receipts.
Purposes
Data is used solely to provide the educational service: account creation, progress and competency tracking, teacher↔student communication, and subscription management. No advertising purposes.
Legal basis
Processing is based on your explicit consent given at registration and on performance of the requested educational service.
Minors & guardian consent
Every student account is presumed to belong to a minor. By registering, the legal guardian acknowledges consenting to the processing of the child's data under this policy and may exercise the minor's rights at any time.
Recipients
Your data is not shared with any third party. We use no external tracker (no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels). Notifications are in-app only. Only the relevant teaching staff (subject teacher, school administration, linked parent) can access a student's data.
Retention
Data is kept for the duration of the account. Visitor IP addresses are anonymized after 24 h and sessions deleted after 30 days. When an account is deleted, its data and stored files are erased.
Payment receipts are kept for a limited period (one year after the request is processed, by default) and then deleted.
Security
Data is hosted on private infrastructure (PostgreSQL/MinIO/Redis), passwords are hashed, and file access is protected by short-lived signed links.
Your rights
Under Law 18-07, you have the right to access, rectify, object to and erase your data. To exercise them, contact privacy@dzlms.com or your school administration. You may also refer the matter to the National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data.
